Christopher's Ethos

Thus far, our [Symbiotick's] focus has been expressivity coupled with technique, emotion tempered with thought, and personal catharsis experienced universally. Music is a language of heightened expression. The musicians I am working with in this group speak the language, albeit with slightly different accents than me.

I like to think that the music I make is a tangible manifestation not only of what is going on emotionally or mentally in my own little world, but also that is is a representation of me as a person. Although I strive for universality in music, my method is to reflect myself honestly.

In co-founding the group, I consider myself duty bound to be involved in every aspect of the project. Even at this early stage, I feel a sense of vocation and wanting to belong to this band. It is my hope that the discipline I have to my instrument, to the other members of the band, to composition and to music in general will prove to be a truly inspirational catalyst when I am feeling the Muse's blessing and that it will enable me to put out some really great works before its all said and done.
